Druid's Prayer Altar

The members of Eagle Mountain Protogrove, ADF maintain this space for the community and in service to the Gods and Goddesses of our Celtic, Slavic and Norse Hearth Cultures. We welcome prayers from anyone regardless of religious affiliation and will add your candles to our actual shrines during our devotional services which our members hold indivdually on their own schedules and which we hold together as a grove every first and third Saturday. All prayers made during grove devotionals are made to the Gods and Goddesses of our Hearth Cultures which are most appropriate for the particular prayer request.

For Pam's Grandson, Aiden

Aiden goes into surgery tomorrow and the family would like anyone and everyone who can to please light a candle for the little guy. His name is Aiden and he has been fighting from day one to make a life in this world. He was born December 26th of last year with a cleft palette and evidently some other problems with developement. He was supposed to have surgery on the the palette this month but that was cancelled when he was hospitalized back in mid February with severe upper respiratory problems, bronchitus, and acute reflux issues. He was losing weight because he couldn't hold anything down. They got the infections and sickness to go away but still can't get nutrients in him other than via tubes. So, today around 1pm our time he goes in for surgery to place a feeding port and to do something like a soft flux surgery of some sort (not sure of details there, my son was very upset). As some of you know surgery on the abdominal area is a very dangerous and tricky thing on a "healthy adult body" much less an infant that only weighs 9 pounds and has a weak system all the way around. This particular type of surgery on an infant is extremely risky and has a high failure rate and that has us all very stressed and worried.

For My Mom

She is once again in the hospital. She was admitted with a very low heart rate, low blood sugar and kidney malfunction. They have her condition stabilized for now but she is not out of the woods yet and the doctors need to determine exactly what is causing all of these problems. Right now they are focusing on her blood pressure medicine as a cause. She is 80 years old as of this past November. May the Kindred watch over and keep her during these trying times.

She has been hospitalized with what appears to be appendicitis. Like many independent musicians and artists, she doesn’t have any health insurance and is facing a massive medical bill of $25,000 dollars or more. Friends, fans, and loved ones are now rallying to raise money through donations, charity auctions, and special sales of Tucker’s work. May these efforts yield much fruit and may the Gods, Goddesses, Ancestors and Nature Spirits watch over and bless this dear lady.

Colleen just found out her brother was killed in an automobile accident early this morning (around 5:00am). As can well be imagined, she is totally distraught and Wulfie is desperately trying to comfort and support her. He has asked for as much energy as you can spare to be sent to help her (and him as well) in this tragedy. I can't even imagine the pain she and her family are going through, especially with this being Christmas. Imagine for the rest of their lives having to remember Christmas as the day her brother was killed rather than the time of love and joy it is supposed to be.

One of Meg's friends at work had to leave early today because his son was admitted to the hospital for tests. He's got Down's Syndrome and they thought that he might have lukemia. She would like to request any prayers/healing thoughts you might have for this little boy because he's a very sweet baby.

Her other request is just to pass all the positive thoughts to her and her family...they are currently struggling financially and she doesn't want to lose her home or anything else. She needs to get ahead and not have any more problems if at all possible. Her hubby is looking into getting a new job, so any thoughts that direction would be greatly appreciated.

There is Denise who shows me not matter how hard things get , you can still share and love and be such a giving person to others... There is Dave who taught me the true meaning of love..And that no matter what happens my heart will always belong to him. And I will always be greatful to have had that type of love in my life. You only find this once. Then there is David, who has showed me no matter what I have done in life , he will always be a true friend and never walk away. There is Genie who I have known since the 9th grade, that always takes me back to the memories of our youth and friendship ,until one of her 4 kids interupts us on the phone!! LOL Then there is Barbara and Ann...They are not only my sisters but they are truely friends. My cousin Maryann , who is also my friend since we were little girls. We did everything together growing up and still do today. My cousin Ann who introduced me to the world of computers and gave me a beautiful God daughter, Erica to love....There just is not enough area to write about the people who have helped shaped my life and that I love ...I hope they all know who they are. But the most important have been my parents who are still with me today at 84 and 80. They have been the best in the world and could never picture this world without them..So please keep them safe for me......
